Following July’s tragic Aurora, Colorado theater shooting, Warner Brothers postponed the September 7 release of Gangster Squad out of sensitivity given the fact one of it’s standout set-pieces was a violent scene set in a movie theater.

The film underwent reshoots to omit the scene in question, and is now set to hit theaters on January 11, 2013.

To begin re-hyping Gangster Squad, a new behind-the-scenes featurette has been released, revealing the high expectations Ruben Fleischer’s cast has for this mob drama.

Total Film dedicated their agenda session to Ryan, since he will be in 4 movies next year: “Gangster Squad”, “The Place Beyond the Pines”, “Only God Forgives” and the still untitled Malick’s project. A huge thanks to Annie for sending us the scan, and you can find it on full size in our gallery.

Ben Mendelsohn will join Christina Hendricks in Ryan Gosling’s directing debut, “How to Catch a Monster”.

Mendelsohn worked with Gosling on “The Place Beyond the Pines” and, as it would seem, made quite the impression on his co-star.

“Monster”, said to be somewhat of a dark fairytale, tells of a mother (Hendricks) and her two sons, one of whom discovers a secret underwater town. With mother in tow, young Bones enters the dark, macabre place he’s stumbled upon.

Bradley Cooper has revealed that he and fellow movie hunk Ryan Gosling have engaged in “sexy contests” while working together. The star of The Hangover told the Herald Sun that he and Drive star Ryan used to tease one another about People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive award during filming of The Place Beyond The Pines.

“It was treacherous. We had ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ matches every lunchtime. Who walked most sexily, who ate lunch most sexily, who opened doors most sexily. He won every time.”
